The Death Collector is a new take on an older plot. Taking place in and around the 1800s, Eddie, George, Liz and Sir William take off to stop a mad scientist from taking over the world. The unlikely group of people get tossed together when Eddie, a street urchin picks the wrong pocket at the wrong time, starting a spiral that leads to Dinosaurs, machines, and the ever exciting rich mad scientist bent on ruling the world. With a great play on words and a story line that is sure to keep middle age kids on the edge of their seats, The Death Collector is a great lesson in survival, planning and team work. With witty dialog and the not overly done details, the book is sure to keep young readers turning the pages wanting more.
Not necessarily a great book for older children or adults as the writing is pretty simple and because the details of the setting are very vague. Good book to read if you have nothing else around to read.
