Insurgent is the second of three books in the Divergent series. Picking up where Divergent ended, we find Trish and 4 up to their necks in trouble. Toppling a whole government and then running for their lives while the government tries to reestablish. Twist and turn, friends become enemies, enemies becoming friends, or at least allies, Trish and 4 never give up.
Insurgent is another story of twists, morals and romance. Refusing to just accept that it's the way it's always been so it's the way it has to be, Trish and 4 take on a whole city who mostly want them dead. Both being divergent, in a city where that title meant every thing that is wrong with the world, keeps them on their feet. Fleeing, running and trying to survive. Can they continue to make a change in their city. Will the changes they have started be for the better or worse. Can they face their fears and over come them as they were taught in Dauntless, or will they finally fold under the pressure and finally give up bringing order back to the city?
Book two, Insurgent, is just as exciting and entertaining as book one, Divergent. This book is another page turner and will have you rooting, laughing and sitting on the edge of your seat not sure what to expect next.
Unfortunately like Divergent, the movie is again a major let down. Again, I say if you have seen the movie, Insurgent, then I beg you not to judge the book by the movie. If you hated the movie, I can't blame you, but I highly recommend giving the book a try. If you liked or even loved the movie, then I recommend reading the book and find yourself caring and falling in love with the characters you could have never thought about seeing the movies.
